Pawnbrokers and secondhand dealers have
responsibilities to the police force in each state, for
the reporting of possible stolen property. They also
crosscheck many items against stolen property lists
provided by the police.
Such methods
are tedius and often don’t produce conclusive results.
The LogIT
- first 'Read Only' version is provided free
of charge to approved pawnbrokers and secondhand
dealers.
When an item is presented for sale, the
store attendant needs only to enter the serial number or
the MicroDOT code where it has been used. If the owner of the
property is a LogIT
- first subscriber, the item will appear on
the screen.

contact phone number of the owner can be accessed.
This provides extra security for both the owner and
